One bold high schooler, Sam Miller, swung for the fences earlier this week and asked the 7-3 Latvian to be her prom date.

Her creative sign made an appearance at Madison Square Garden on Friday and even netted Sam a meeting with Porzingis’ father.
However, Porzingis posted a video to Twitter turning down Sam’s offer, saying he will be out of the country the night of her prom.
