As Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing team made repairs to the brake duct in the car’s nose, Busch apologized for running over the animal.
Busch needs the good luck of the rabbit’s foot, given his recent struggles on the track. He has failed to finish better than 30th in his last four starts since winning at Kansas. Despite his rut, he still leads the series with nine top five finishes.
