Busch won three of the past four Sprint Cup races and have the fastest time in Friday’s second Cup practice session. Now he shoots for victory in the Xfinity Series.

That race is scheduled for green flag at 3:49 p.m. ET at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Before that, Busch will set his place in Sunday’s Crown Royal 400, the annual Sprint Cup race at the Brickyard.

Busch begins next to Daniel Suarez, a rising driver from Mexico. Behind him will be another comer on the Xfinity circuit, Erik Jones. Sprint Cup drivers in the 40-car field include Aric Almirola, Paul Menard, Kyle Larson and Kevin Harvick.

Ty Dillon won last year’s race. Busch won in 2013.
