Bryant died in a helicopter crash in January 2020 alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.

On Twitter, Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving wrote, “Love you Big brother @kobebryant.”

“Happy Solar Return,” he added, throwing in an emoji signifying “cheers.” “You and all the angels celebrate up in Paradise! The Black Mamba lives on.”

Boxer and social media influencer Jake Paul also tweeted, “KOBE. King of basketball eternally.”

Terry McMillan, famous novelist and author of How Stella Got Her Groove Back, took to Twitter on Tuesday, writing, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KOBE. YOU ARE STILL MISSED.”

Actor O’Shea Jackson paid a long tribute to Bryant on Twitter. “Happy birthday to my hero Mr. Kobe Bean Bryant,” he wrote. “I watch and listen to you still, on bad days and the good. Wherever you are my friend, I know exactly how you spending this birthday. Getting shots up lol. Say hello to GiGi for me please sir. Happy birthday.”

Robert Griffin III, a free agent quarterback who is also a football analyst for ESPN, wrote, “Still can’t believe Kobe is gone,” in a retweet of a post made by SportsCenter.

The Black Lives Matter account also paid tribute on Tuesday, quoting Bryant who said, “The moment you give up, is the moment you let someone else win.”

“Happy Birthday to a legend,” they added.

“Forever,” wrote the Los Angeles Lakers. “Happy birthday, Kobe.”

ESPN shared a video of Bryant making several final shots in his last played game, where Bryant led the Lakers to a 101-96 victory against the Utah Jazz and scored a total of 60 points.

“An iconic final game,” the account wrote. “Kobe Bryant would have turned 44 today.”

Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s wife, also posted in honor of her late husband. On Instagram, the photo showed Kobe in a 2009 Los Angeles Lakers championship T-shirt and baseball cap, leaning over her as they embrace.

“Happy birthday, baby! I love you and miss you so much! #44,” Bryant captioned the Instagram post.

And the pair’s eldest daughter, Natalia, shared a photo on Instagram as well that showed her sitting on her dad’s lap at a game when she was younger.

“Happy Birthday Daddy!” she wrote.

The Bryant family, which also consists of Bianka, 5, and Capri, 3, lost their father and sister on January 26, 2020, when the helicopter that they were traveling in went down in Calabasas Hills while they were on their way to one of Gianna’s basketball games.
